I never had any issues with the media not mounting after reboot either. I ran it on my NAS which’s also hosts the media so I used symlinks instead of SMB. The docker version was the same really but I didn’t have hw transcode. ![]() It was basically install and point the media to my smb mount.Įdit: I realize I may have misread your comment but I will keep the text above anyways since it’s my experience with the official macos app. Hardware transcodes work great straight out the box. The only complaint for me is that updates require you to put in the admin password every time but there is a simple workaround for it that makes it work the right way (just place the PMS app in a different location and not the systems Applications folder). Updates I just do from the web portal instead of opening portainer and pulling the new image so it’s handy. How are you making that work and staying connected after a reboot? Are there others out there that are using M2s with Ventura and having luck? While this isn't my only option (currently running plex on my Synology) I wanted to give this a shot and see how it performed compared to the nas (and offload the work to another device). I know others have mentioned they use Macs for Plex servers and have mounted shares from Synology. I played with this for hours tonight and tried all sorts of things and ultimately I haven't been able to solve the mount on restart issue. When trying to reboot, I only get an error code 68 on the mount command (also learned that mount calls mount_smbfs). ![]() ![]()
